πŸ† Achievement System

A brand new cross-season progression system β€” years in the making β€” finally arrives in Season 8. Achievements are permanent milestones that celebrate your greatest accomplishments on the server. Unlike almost everything else, progress never resets between seasons.

This is a system built for the long haul. Many achievements are intentionally difficult, spanning multiple seasons worth of effort. Completing them all is a true mark of dedication.

🏺 Archaeology β€” Biggest Expansion Yet

The beloved Archaeology system receives its largest update to date in Season 8, with two entirely new branches joining the existing Digging and Woodcutting systems.

🐘 Hunting Archaeology (Safari Hunting)

A brand new branch centered around hunting custom wildlife that roams naturally across the overworld. Species spawn in their biome-appropriate environments throughout Elysium, Olympus, and the Resource World β€” Lions in savannas, Elephants in the plains, and more.

Hunt them down, collect their special mob drops, and bring them to Hemet Nesingwary at spawn in exchange for Hunting Deeds. Spend those deeds on:

  • Baby wildlife pets β€” including Lion cubs, baby Elephants, and more
  • Exclusive cosmetics and furniture
  • Currency, consumables, and heirlooms

This is only the first version of Hunting Archaeology. More animals, more rewards, and more to hunt are planned for future updates.

⛏️ Mining Archaeology

Mining Archaeology brings the familiar Digging experience underground. Equip a special archaeology pickaxe or apply the Geode Seeker Infusement to your tools, and you'll have a chance to uncover Raw Geodes while mining stone and ores.

/warp arch

Crack them open in-hand to reveal a hidden gemstone inside:

  • Tungsten (Common), Sapphire (Rare), Opal (Epic), Amber (Legendary)

Trade your findings at the Mining Merchant for pets (Stone Golems, Rats, Spiders, and more), furniture, cosmetics, powerful heirlooms, currency, and consumables.

πŸ‘‘ Fallen Kingdom

Once, a great kingdom stood here. Its king was just, its people prosperous. Then came the curse β€” and now nothing remains but the undead shambling through ruined halls, bound to a king who can no longer die.

The Fallen Kingdom is a permanent open-world endgame zone, built exclusively for veteran players ready for the toughest challenge the overworld has to offer. The kingdom's cursed inhabitants β€” former citizens and soldiers twisted into undead minions β€” now roam its streets and battlefields. Your goal: vanquish the undead, reclaim the kingdom, and ultimately face the Fallen King himself.

  • Boar Hunt β€” a special zone event inspired by royal medieval hunting traditions. Track boars throughout the zone, collect their bones, and return them for powerful rewards
  • The Fallen King awakens once enough of his undead forces have been slain across the zone β€” defeat him for some of the zone's best rewards
  • Dozens of quests, including repeatable ones for ongoing progression
  • Leaderboards, tournaments, hidden secrets, and much more to discover

If you've spent time on the Isle of the Dead, you know the format β€” but the Fallen Kingdom is harder, darker, and rewards the brave accordingly.

Teaser of some of the zone rewards.

πŸ’€ Nightmare Dungeon: The Rifted Veins

Somewhere beyond the known world, an ancient portal was discovered. Explorers entered, drawn by the promise of untold resources on the other side. They found them β€” but they also found something else. Something that was already there. And it did not welcome them.

A brand new dungeon tier has arrived. Nightmare sits above Mythic as the single hardest challenge on the server β€” for those who feel they've conquered everything else.

The Rifted Veins is a large, fully custom dungeon set within an abandoned mining camp at the edge of another dimension. What began as an expedition for resources became a catastrophe. The camp has been overtaken by an alien force of unknown origin, and the realm's people are enslaved within. You are going in to free them.

Teaser of the new Nightmare Dungeon.
  • New dungeon tier β€” above Mythic in difficulty
  • Minimum Rank: Immortal+ Ascension
  • Cooldown: Once every 10 days
  • Entry: Like Trials of the Gods, players must collectively contribute materials to open the dungeon
  • Features some of the best loot available in the entire game

What awaits you inside, you'll have to discover for yourself.

πŸ… Badges of Justice (Heroic Dungeons)

Heroic Dungeons have historically been overlooked in favour of Normal and Mythic β€” sitting in an awkward middle ground without a strong reason to run them consistently. Badges of Justice aims to fix that, giving Heroic dungeons a unique long-term reward loop that makes them worth running every single day.

Every Heroic boss killed drops 1 Badge of Justice. Badges can be spent on:

  • Dungeoneer Job Runes β€” upgrade your runes from Common all the way up to Eternal, the most powerful tier available
  • Sulfuras, Hand of Ragnaros β€” a new Legendary Weapon of immense power, available to those with the dedication to earn it

The more Heroic dungeons you clear, the stronger you become. There's never been a better reason to run them.

πŸ—‘οΈ Dungeon Updates

Dungeons have been updated with new quests, hidden secrets, and special events β€” giving each run a reason to explore beyond just clearing to the boss.

  • The Ancient Forest β€” A captured human has been found imprisoned deep within the dungeon. Figure out how to break them free.
  • Ruins of Khazad Dum β€” The dungeon boss now carries a unique Blacksmithing Hammer. Defeat it, claim the hammer, and complete a brand new quest
  • Necropolis of the Damned β€” A hidden treasure has been concealed somewhere within the catacombs. Find it if you can.
  • The Forgotten Temples β€” A new parkour challenge winds through the ruins, with a treasure chest waiting at the end for those skilled enough to reach it.
  • Siege of Ravenshire β€” A new quest sends you to collect Cracked Shields from the Medieval Knights, alongside proper lore that finally ties the dungeon's story together and makes the siege feel like a real historical event.
  • And much more waiting to be discovered across all of our dungeons!

πŸ“œ New Spawn Quests

Several new spawn quests have been added β€” and these are a serious step up from the hundreds already available around spawn. Rather than simple deliveries, these quests require collecting large quantities of vanilla materials, packing them into barrels, and completing full themed quest categories:

  • ⛏️ Mining
  • 🌾 Farming
  • πŸ”₯ Nether
  • And 3 more categories...
/warp questhub

Complete every quest within a category for strong rewards β€” and finishing them all ties directly into an Achievement unlock.

🎣 Pond Swimming (New Minigame)

A new minigame has entered the rotation, offering a different experience from the traditional Fishing Contest. Pond Swimming is a fast-paced, water-based event centered on movement, positioning, and reaction time.

Hosted in the large pond at spawn, the event turns a familiar area into an active competition zone. Items emerge at random locations across the water, requiring players to swim out and contest each spawn. Remaining on the shoreline is not a viable strategy - success depends on mobility and awareness.

Spawn points are signaled by bubble effects breaking the surface, giving players a brief window to react. When an item appears, participants must cast their fishing rod and hook it directly. The first successful hook secures the reward, which goes straight to the player’s inventory and cannot be stolen.

All items that surface - from Common to Divine - consist of Artifacts and Heirloom currencies, ensuring most catches have meaningful value.

Each launch triggers a knockback wave that pushes nearby players away, preventing static positioning. Periodically, a Surge phase dramatically increases the spawn rate, creating short bursts of high-intensity activity.

Progress is tracked throughout the event. Players who reach 10, 20, 30, 50, and 100 catches receive milestone rewards at the end, and the top three participants are announced in chat when the event concludes.

The Pond runs automatically as part of the minigame rotation. Watch chat for the announcement when it begins.

🐺 Lycaon the Direwolf (New World Boss)

A new world boss has made his den at spawn. Lycaon the Direwolf is a powerful boss event accessible to all players, spawning randomly every few days in his Wolf Den β€” a brand new area built into spawn.

Slay him to complete a dedicated quest and earn special rewards including keys, cosmetics, and more. Watch chat for his arrival β€” when Lycaon howls, you'll know.

βš’οΈ New Job: Smelter

A brand new AFK-friendly job joins the roster in Season 8. The premise is simple: smelt things, get paid. Smelting tasks previously scattered across multiple jobs β€” such as smelting glass in Digger and smelting ores in Miner β€” have been consolidated into this dedicated job, making it the natural home for furnace-focused players.

βš”οΈ Tournaments β€” Fully Overhauled

The old weekly rotating tournament system is gone. In its place, Season 8 introduces always-active monthly tournaments that run simultaneously, covering virtually every playstyle on the server. No more waiting for your preferred tournament to rotate β€” if you play on MineRaze, there's a tournament running for you right now.

TournamentObjective

⛏️ MiningGather ores and stone
πŸͺ£ DiggingDig sand, dirt, grass, etc.

All tournaments reset monthly. Compete, climb the leaderboard, and claim your rewards.

🏘️ Town Updates

Towns receive several improvements in Season 8, making progression smoother and town management easier.

πŸ“ˆ Town Level Changes

Town levels have been reduced from 15 β†’ 10.

The overall rewards and benefits remain largely the same, but they are now condensed into fewer levels. This makes town progression smoother, easier to follow, and slightly cheaper overall.

🚫 Town Banning

Town leaders can now ban players from entering their town claims, giving you control over who can access your land.

Banned players cannot enter town territory, teleport inside it, set homes there, or interact with the area.

Commands:
/townban (player)
/townunban (player)
/townbanlist

🧭 Radius Claiming

Claiming land is now faster with new radius commands.
/claimradius (1-3)
/unclaimradius (1-3)

These commands claim or unclaim chunks around your position in a radius, making town expansion and land management much easier.

πŸͺ‘ Furniture Merchant β€” Major Overhaul

The Furniture Merchant has received a substantial upgrade, making it easier than ever to decorate your builds exactly the way you want.

  • 100+ new furniture pieces added, bringing the total to over 350
  • Fully reorganised with proper categories so you can find what you need instantly

Visit /warp furniture from wherever you are.

πŸ”’ Soulbound System

Introduced in late Season 7, the Soulbound system is now a permanent and formal part of the game. Soulbound items are permanently account-locked β€” they cannot be traded, dropped, or passed to other players under any circumstances. This is primarily used for quest items and Ascendant gear to ensure that progress is earned, not handed off.

🎨 New Cosmetics & Pets

Season 8 features one of the largest cosmetics and pets expansions in server history. Dozens of new cosmetics and dozens of new pets are now available, with a strong focus on the new content added this season β€” including wildlife pets from Hunting Archaeology, mining-themed pets from the new geode system, and rewards tied to the Fallen Kingdom and Nightmare Dungeon.

A Baby Lion Pet - one of dozens of new pets!

🌍 Survival Worlds

Season 8 gives you the best of both worlds β€” literally.

Elysium returns as a fully custom-generated world featuring unique biomes, terrain, and landscapes you won't find in vanilla Minecraft.

Olympus, on the other hand, is now vanilla-generated terrain, offering the classic Minecraft world generation experience.

πŸ”§ Additional Changes & Quality of Life

  • Contribution System Overhaul (Leif the Explorer) - Contribution goals have been significantly improved with clearer menus, better progress visibility, goal status and time-left displays, smoother contribution options, and support for staged and timed community objectives. Contribution tracking now also records top contributors, and for Normal Dungeons and Heroic Dungeons, the #1 contributor earns a bonus reward inside the dungeon.
  • Heirlooms (custom items) refreshed β€” Many heirlooms have been upgraded with brand new models, improved item names, and various visual and quality-of-life enhancements.
  • New Heirlooms (custom items) - Discover new custom items including powerful runes, the Glass Breaker Hammer, and more additions to expand your loadout.
  • New Biome Changer Staff - A new item that allows you to change the biome of the chunk you're standing in. Perfect for builders who want full control over their environment and every visual detail.
  • New Builder's Book - A new item that lets you place multiple blocks at once using different placement modes (1x3 lines, 3x3 walls, and vertical columns). Hold it in your off-hand and build faster.
  • New custom /rankup plugin this ensures you can do it from anywhere, not just spawn, without issues.
  • In-game ranks and progression updated
  • Quests Pinning - /quests can now be pinned to the top of your screen. Simply right click a daily, weekly, misc. or event quest to begin tracking the quest progress live!
  • /shop has been updated with custom art and many new blocks and items added.

  • New Weekly Quests β€” Dark Oak, Cherry, Mangrove, Crimson Stem, and Warped Stem woodcutting quests added to the weekly rotation
  • New Isle of the Dead quests added
  • 14 new Milestone Quests including for the Isle of the Dead and Fallen Kingdom. Several existing ones have been updated and improved.
  • Global Boosters now persist through server reboots - this comes with a full recode of the booster plugin along with a proper database, making this now possible.
  • Dungeon portal timer β€” portals stay active for 10 minutes from dungeon start, preventing players from waiting out the run and entering just as the boss dies
  • Damage Resistance ability removed and replaced with Water Breathing
  • New Currency Exchanger trade: Artifact Cache β†’ Heavy Artifact Cache
  • Spawner cap returned to 6 per chunk for better balance, more consistent mob behaviour, and improved payouts
  • Crates overhauled β€” all crates have been updated with new and improved loot
  • The cosmetics menu now shows what is unlocked and what isn't.
  • New /spend and /spend top command. Shows how much you've spent on the store (towards Patron, etc.) and shows the top 10 supporters of MineRaze of all-time.

See you in-game β€” April 4th.
